Can you think of a number of life events that might result in you needing to give some serious thought to financial planning?
There are some key things that might happen to you where controlling your finances and putting a planning strategy in place would make real sense.
For example, divorce where the parties to the divorce have to reach an agreed settlement about distribution of their assets and income.
Or a business being sold and the capital having to be put to use to generate future income streams.
What about someone putting together a business plan for the launch of a prospective new company?
Or perhaps someone deciding the time is right to buy the home they want in the country.
Each of these events would probably require some forward thinking and planning, don’t you think?
This week I met a very successful and charming man for whom all of the above events arrived at pretty much the same time. This to me represented an almost perfect storm of financial planning needs.
Without wishing to sound like a complete “nerd” can you imagine how much fun we are going to have writing up his financial plan?
