The FTSE 100 index of leading UK company shares finished the week at 6,712.67, closing down 75.82 (-1.12%) on the day and down 97.03 points or 1.42% over the week.
The index fell to a three week low on Friday, following a fall in mining stocks. A default of a landmark Chinese company bond hurt the sector.
Despite stronger than expected jobs data from the US, the crisis in Ukraine continued to put pressure on stock prices.
Over a year the FTSE 100 has risen from 6,439.20, a rise of 273.47 points or 4.25%.

Brent Crude Oil Futures is currently priced at $108.72/barrel. Gold is $1,335.25/ounce and Silver is $21.38/ounce.
The UK Bank Rate is 0.5% and CPI inflation was 1.9% for the year to January 2014.
