Research from unbiased.co.uk’s GetAdvised campaign shows that more than half of consumers say they would benefit from seeking whole of market financial advice.
In an attempt to demystify financial advice, especially for the consumers who haven’t yet taken advice, and show the real people who are giving advice, unbiased.co.uk have launched a competition using the Twitter hashtag #faceofadvice.
Financial advice firms have to tweet a photo of their team and it will be added to the unbiased.co.uk Face of Advice Wall. They will then pick one lucky winner to be crowned as unbiased.co.uk’s Face of Advice 2013.
With a luxury Christmas hamper up for grabs, we jumped at the chance to win and tweeted the photo shown above. As ‘selfie’ is Oxford Dictionaries’ word of the year, we opted for a self-taken iPhone photo rather than one of our professional shots.
From left to right, the photo features Martin Bamford, Shelley McCarthy, Andrew Neligan and Nick Bamford; the team of Informed Choice Financial Planners based at Sundial House in Cranleigh, Surrey.
As well as entering the unbiased.co.uk #faceofadvice competition, we thought this might be a good opportunity to introduce each member of the team.
Martin is managing director of Informed Choice. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professional, and his specialist areas of advice are care fees planning and trustee investments.
Shelley is a financial planner and senior paraplanner at Informed Choice. She is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professional and her specialist advice areas are Financial Planning and inheritance tax planning.
Andrew is financial planning director at Informed Choice. He is also a Chartered Financial Planner and Certified Financial Planner (CFP) professional. Andrew’s specialist advice areas are Financial Planning for individuals and business owners.
Nick is executive director at Informed Choice and a Chartered Financial Planner. His specialist advice areas are options at retirement, and pensions & divorce.
We hope that putting a face to advice will encourage more people to pick up the phone or send us an email to arrange a meeting. We offer a first meeting at our expense and without any obligation, so do get in touch.
