The latest figures from the Personal Finance Society show there are now over 3,000 Chartered Financial Planners in the UK.
As of June 2012, there are 3,040 Chartered Financial Planners which means the numbers have more than doubled in three years.
Independent consumer research has found that 58% of people have greater confidence in the advice delivered by Chartered practitioners compared to those who are not Chartered.
Becoming a Chartered Financial Planner requires a high level of skill and dedication.
Individuals must hold the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, have five years’ relevant industry experience and adhere to the CII’s Code of Ethics and Conduct.
