It’s been another busy week here at Informed Choice, with a national radio appearance for Nick and two presentations for Martin.
Excitement in the village is growing ahead of the Cranleigh Food & Music Festival on Saturday 3rd October.
Martin has been helping to organise this event as part of his role on the Cranleigh Chamber of Commerce.
Another event taking place soon at the Cranleigh Arts Centre is the Classical Recital Season, also sponsored by Informed Choice. Tickets for the various recitals are available now.
This week on the Informed Choice blog, the team have been writing about rising private school fees, a cut to National Savings & Investments Direct cash ISA rates, 100 days to get financially fit for Christmas, why IFAs are recommending multi-asset funds, awards at the Cranleigh in Bloom prize giving tea party, and the US Fed keeping rates on hold in September.
This week in episode 41 of the Informed Choice Podcast, Martin talks to a fund manager about what rising interest rates mean for high yield bonds, explains why building societies are better than banks, and tells you what it takes to retire ten years early.
Martin was featured in the Sunday Telegraph at the weekend in an article about how to retire ten years early.
Nick was a guest on BBC Radio 4 Money Box Live on Wednesday afternoon, answering listener questions about savings and investments. Listen again on BBC iPlayer.
