We’re waking up today with a mild sense of disbelief. The Prime Minister’s statement yesterday evening felt more akin to a wartime address than a public health announcement.
He spoke about the national emergency we face, and the measures announced in response are rightly draconian to combat such as a serious threat.
The work we do at Informed Choice is important to our clients, but it’s not ‘essential’ for us to work from the offices.
Therefore, with immediate effect, we are closing our offices in Cranleigh and Petersfield.
The office phones are diverted to our mobile numbers, but our capacity for answering phone calls will naturally be limited; please contact us via email where possible.
Our team is continuing to work from their respective homes, using the new laptops we purchased a fortnight ago, in anticipation of this lockdown.
With our various business software all cloud-based, there is no interruption to our systems access, which means we will continue to support our clients during this time.
Our recently activated secure client portal becomes even more important than before during this time. We will switch entirely to transmitting and receiving client correspondence through the portal, for the duration of the crisis.
If you need help navigating the portal, your Financial Planner is on hand to assist.
These are unprecedented times. Like you, we look forward to a swift return to normality but must prepare for an extended period of business disruption, with this remote way of working potentially becoming a new normal for all businesses.
We will adapt to these changes and find a way to ensure service during this time is upheld. As a business, we are financially strong and have sufficient reserves to see us through an extended period of disruption.
We hope you stay well and stay safe.
Do contact us (preferably by email!) if you have any questions or concerns.
You can also find the mobile phone number for your Financial Planner listed on the profile pages of this website.
