Last week we had the pleasure of sponsoring the second in a series of classical recitals at the Cranleigh Arts Centre.
This series is made possible in association with the Philharmonia Orchestra’s Martin Music Scholarship Fund.
The latest recital was a performance by the award-winning pianist Costanza Principe.
Ahead of her recital, Nick spent some time in conversation with Costanza, learning about her background and love of Beethoven.
The next recital in the series takes place at 1pm on Wednesday 2nd December. Leander Kippenberg will be playing Cello with accompanist Edward Liddall.
Leander performed as a soloist and chamber musician in Germany, Switzerland and the UK in renowned concert halls such as the Tonhalle Zürich, the Sendesaal Bremen, the Glocke in Bremen, St. John Smith Square in London and the Barbican Hall.
He is currently studying at the Guildhall school of Music and Drama in London together with Prof. Louise Hopkins.
His recital will feature Beethoven cello sonata no. 3 op. 69 in A major and Shostakovich cello sonata op. 40 in D minor.
Tickets for this recital are available for £16 online here or by calling the Cranleigh Arts Centre box office on 01483 278000.
We hope to see you there!
