Earlier this month we produced a short video featuring some of the business owners exhibiting at the Eat & Drink Cranleigh Festival 2013, where we were proud to be lead sponsors.
The video was well received and it gave us an idea.
We decided to start interviewing local business owners, creating a series called Informed Choice Talking Business.
As local business owners and advisers to local business owners, we understand what it means to be in business.
Informed Choice Talking Business is our opportunity to showcase some exceptional local business owners, find out more about them and hear about their lessons from being in business.
We filmed the first couple of episodes of Informed Choice Talking Business yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the process.
Here is our first willing participant.
Dileep Sharma is owner of Ollo Foods, based in Godalming. We met Dileep for the first time at Eat & Drink Cranleigh 2013, where he was exhibiting his delicious Carrot & Tamarind Chutney and Smoked Spiced Glaze.
Ollo Foods is a relatively new business, established only a couple of years ago. Since then, Dileep has been awarded a star rating for his Carrot & Tamarind Chutney by the Guild of Fine Foods Taste of 2013 and is doing brisk trade online, at local markets and food festivals.
Nick and Dileep enjoyed a wide ranging conversation about how to garner customer feedback before launching a new product, plans for future expansion and lessons learned from the first two years in business.
