The next in a season of classical recitals at Cranleigh Arts Centre sponsored by Informed Choice is a harp recital by Glain Dafydd.
This is part of Cranleigh Art Centre’s second season of recitals by prize winning international chamber musicians whose performances are made possible by the Martin Musical Scholarship Fund of the Philharmonia Orchestra.
Glain Dafydd’s career has taken her across Europe for concerts, competitions and studies which she enjoys with equal fervour appearing at venues such as the British Embassy in Paris, RFH (MMSF) and touring in the USA with the Penrhyn Male Voice Choir.
Having studied at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris, she’s now enrolled at the Royal Academy of Music as a post graduate student.
Under the tutelage of Isabelle Perrin in Paris, she was influenced by the great French composers, such as Tournier, Renié and Grandjany which will give a special hue to her programme at Cranleigh.
Glain’s programme will consist of Sonata for Harp “The Lass of Richmond Hill” by Dussek, 1st and 2nd Arabesques by C.Debussy, Toccata in A Major by Paradissi, Sonata for Harp by Hindemith, Santa Fe Suite by Mathias, Sicilienne Variée by Damase and Légende by Renié.
