The FT New Breed Adviser Awards are being held on Wednesday and Informed Choice is in contention to win two categories this year.
The awards recognise those individuals and firms in the advisory community who are leading change within the sector and shaping the future of advice.
We have entered for two categories this year.
-Best Paraplanner Team
-Lifetime Achievement Award
Our Paraplanner Team, who are responsible for shaping the advice our Financial Planners deliver to their clients, is managed by Martin Bamford and consists of Shelley McCarthy and Roz Sutoris. Martin, Shelley and Roz work together to provide the technical support, report writing and research for nine Financial Planners.
Informed Choice chief executive Nick Bamford was nominated for the Lifetime Achievement Award. Nick has one of the highest profiles in the financial services profession and was instrumental in achieving Privy Council approval to create the new title of Chartered Financial Planner, in his role as chairman of the Society of Financial Advisers (SOFA).
In 2009, Informed Choice chartered financial planner Andrew Neligan was named Best Newcomer at the FT New Breed Adviser Awards. Andrew was invited to judge two other award categories this year, as a previous winner.
The results of the FT New Breed Adviser Awards will be announced at a presentation ceremony at the Sheraton Park Lane Hotel on Wednesday 27th October. Nick and Andrew will be attending the awards to represent Informed Choice and (hopefully) collect some trophies!
