We are pleased to report some exam successes at Informed Choice, in the field of care fees planning.
Informed Choice managing director Martin Bamford and senior paraplanner Shelley McCarthy both passed the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) exam CF8: Long term care insurance in separate sittings on Friday.
This qualification is designed to help Financial Planners understand the definition, scope and purpose of long term care contacts and how they interact with State benefits and State-funded long term care.
It also covers the main features and functions of the different types of contract that can be used to fund long term care and how they can be arranged to meet an individual’s needs.
CF8: Long term care insurance examines the legal, taxation and regulatory issues that are relevant to advice on long term care insurance.
Care fees planning is an increasingly important area of advice for our clients at Informed Choice, with fees for residential care homes in Surrey amongst the highest in the UK.
We work with individuals, solicitors and care homes to provide specialist and independent advice on all aspects of care fees planning and funding long-term care.
If you are concerned about care fees planning for a parent or relative, do speak to Martin who will help ensure that they do not run out of money in the future.
Following this latest exam success, Martin is now studying for the CII Equity Release qualification and Shelley is continuing with further examination papers on her path to becoming a Chartered Financial Planner.
