Nick is still waiting on a call from Roy Hodgson for advice about the England World Cup team but has already tentatively penned his selection.
Bamford said “Like all England fans I have made no provision for watching any games after the Costa Rica match on June 24th.
“This in in the expectation that a loss to Italy, a draw against Uruguay and then a win needed against Costa Rica which turns into a draw, will see our boys on the next flight home.
“However, none of that will really matter if Roy selects a team that excites. It’s not the despair, it’s the hope I can’t stand!”
Please Roy pick a team that is adventurous, runs at defenders and gets us on our feet.
Can I suggest the following?
Hart, Johnson, Jagielka, Cahill, Baines, Lallana, Gerrard, Barkely, Oxlade-Chamebralin (if fit) Sturridge and Sterling?
I know that we all have a view on this but at least one of these games (Italy, Saturday 11.00pm) is well past my bedtime and the only way I am going to stay awake is if it is an end to end, free flowing and exciting match.
Put Wilshire, Lambert, Rooney, Henderson and Welbeck on the bench.
If you play Milner I am going to bed early!
