In response to the ‘daily exercise routine’ part of your nature jottings page, I thought you might like to see mine over the last week.
The Sykes Plan Regime
1 – 09:00 cycling usually 30 miles across the Cotswolds.
2 – 11:30 shovel 1 ton of hardcore or gravel for path construction
3 – 13:00 large lunch bread and cheese or equivalent
4 – 15:00 3 mile walk with wife. Pretending to be absorbed in conversation
5 – 17:00 online yoga class.
6 – 18:30 Gymnastics. Parallel bars training ( place 2 tables 10m apart one stocked with claret the other with Timothy Taylor’s bitter. Start with the beer and then run to the wine table keep repeating the circuits until either a) you fall over or b) you can’t remember which table you should be running towards.
Repeat daily for the constitution of an Ox.
