Congratulations to Informed Choice financial planners Philip Sullivan and Simon Hewitt for passing their CII Diploma exam modules.
Philip passed (J05) Pension income options. This exam looks at the rules that apply to pension funds when retirement benefits are taken and the range of available retirement income options.
Philip is now only a few points short of the Diploma in Financial Planning qualification, which he aims to achieve this year.
Simon passed (J01) Personal tax, his first Diploma module. This exam covers the personal taxation system including income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax. It also looks at the tax treatment of different types of investment.
Simon needs to complete three more Diploma modules to obtain his Diploma in Financial Planning.
Each of these Diploma level modules requires over one hundred hours of study and demonstrates competence in the particular area of advice. As a firm of Chartered Financial Planners, we are passionate about the importance of professional qualifications when combined with relevant experience and ethical behaviour.
