How many of us I wonder have ever thought about a career in the movie business?
Well this week I became a “Stuntman” in a movie.
I made a donation to the post-production costs of a feature-length documentary film being made by Informed Choice by our very own Managing Director, Martin Bamford.
As readers of our blogs will know, Martin is creating the documentary all about that generation of people known as Baby Boomers.
The film is called Boom!
Filmed, directed and written by Martin, the film looks at all of the challenges with which this generation is faced and with very many of them arriving at retirement at the same time.
Martin is funding the production costs through a process known as “crowdfunding” which involves many people making a relatively small financial contribution to the total cost of production.
An online facility known as Kickstarter is the method used to organise the promotion and administration of the funding (visit www.kickstarter.com/projects/martinbamford/boom-a-feature-length-documentary-about-financial for more details and watch the introductory video).
I wanted a reward for my donation and that was to be named in the credits as “Stuntman” in the film.
If you watch the trailer you will see a scene where a slice of cake is being eaten with a fork from a plate. That is me!
If you don’t think eating cake is dangerous enough to warrant the role of Stuntman then that probably means you don’t eat enough cake!
