What happened at Informed Choice in 2015?
It’s been another exceptional year for the team at Informed Choice as we continue to deliver our Financial Planning and impartial advice services to clients.
As we approach the end of the year, I wanted to share with you a quick recap of some of our biggest achievements in 2015.
-We experienced a record year for the business as a result of the new pension freedoms introduced in April, a growing number of post-war baby boomers reaching retirement age and a continued focus on raising our visibility with clients and contacts in Cranleigh.
-Over a thousand advisers heard the Informed Choice story as Nick delivered his keynote presentation to the Personal Finance Society National Financial Planning Symposiums in Newport, Edinburgh, Birmingham and London.
-Nick also appeared alongside several industry veterans, including MoneySavingExpert’s Martin Lewis, in a video launching the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) project on customer vulnerability.
-It was another award-winning year for the business, with our managing director Martin Bamford named Dynamic Planner of the Year 2015. Martin was a finalist for Social Media Adviser of the Year at the Unbiased Media Awards and Informed Choice was a finalist for Best Retirement Adviser at the Money Marketing Awards.
-There were some new titles this year, with Martin and Shelley both becoming Chartered Wealth Managers following the merger of the Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) with the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI). Martin became an Accredited Later Life Adviser.
–Our audio podcast grew in popularity during 2015, experiencing a rise in downloads exceeding 130%. We interviewed a range of excellent guests and picked up lots of five star reviews on iTunes.
–We raised over £5,000 for charity by supporting the annual Jigsaw Run at Dunsfold Park, which sold-out for the first time and had a 40% increase in runners compared to last year.
We’ve already got some really exciting things planned for 2016, which I will be sharing with you very soon.
But as the sound of Jools Holland’s Hootenanny draws ever closer, we want to say a big thank you to all of our clients, professional contacts and supporters for another fantastic year.
We wish you a very Happy New Year and look forward to speaking again in 2016.
