Week in review: Friday 22nd May 2015
Whatever you have planned for the long weekend, we hope you have a lovely time.
This week at Informed Choice, we have been talking about the announcement there will be another Budget in July, the UK economy entering a period of deflation, our new client seminar on staying fit in retirement, and how everyone got on at the Cranleigh Parish Boundary Challenge last weekend.
Here is our latest week in review.
Mark Wednesday 8th July on your calendar, because George Osborne will be delivering his second Budget of 2015. We look at what to expect as the new Conservative government aims to impose another round of austerity measures.
It’s deflation, but hopefully not ‘damaging deflation’, as the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) measure of price inflation is -0.1% for the year to April.
Tickets are now on sale for our new client seminar, which takes place on Thursday 25th June in Cranleigh. Every wondered how to stay physically and mentally fit in retirement? With expert speakers and delicious food, this is the seminar for you.
The weather was excellent for the 40 runners and walkers who took on the 23 mile Informed Choice-sponsored Cranleigh Parish Boundary Challenge on Sunday. See photos from the event and read more about it here.
This week in the latest episode of the Informed Choice Podcast, Martin interviews Paul Claireaux about some of the enemies to good money management, and discusses the books you need to read to learn the financial and non-financial aspects of Financial Planning.
